What this article leaves out is that if you hand your unlocked phone to a police officer, they can legally search it. Unless companies develop a method that allows you to show officers insurance cards and driver license without unlocking the rest of your phone, don't.

Oh finally, the general area I live in is called False Bay because sailors (think 1400 - 1600s) kept mistaking it for another that was further down the coast. It’s like being called “Not Mary” because you look just similar enough from afar 😆

Tietiesbaai (pronounced “titties” & baai means bay) is about 2 hours away: “the name derives from either a prominent fisherman called Jacob Titus … or from the smooth round boulders that are a feature of the bay.” I prefer option 2.

We got tricked by science fiction into thinking a futuristic city is all about flying cars and crystal towers and hologram billboards but what it really looks like is nice apartment blocks, good mass transit, pedestrian zones with shade trees and safe bike lanes.

So yes I lost my shit in the pharmacy today. A) I shouldn’t have to give them my sob story about my shitty ex to get this basic customer service thing sorted. And B) sometimes the “oversharing drama queen” holding up line has been patient and accommodating for 40 fucking months before this.

40 months, 3 and a half years. Every time I’ve picked up my chronic repeat meds for 40 months the pharmacist has been unable to find my details and we go through the same back and forth before they find it under my ex’s name. My ex has never been a customer of theirs.
