This is going to impact every part of our country. FAA, SEC, CDC, HHS, DOT, and more. The irony is SC said unelected experts can’t make regs, so unelected, non-expert fed judges and SC will decide. Horrible decision. Prediction: The system will grind to a halt because too many cases for judges.

Organizers got enough signatures to put a measure protecting abortion on the ballot in Arkansas. In *Arkansas*. They had *no national support*. Ignore the pundits melting down over not being treated as Very Special Boys. Dobbs has fundamentally changed elections. Everything they know is wrong.

yes, we boiled the planet, but it was worth it to make a machine that, instead of adding two plus two, takes the statistical average of every answer to questions containing "what" "is" "two" and "plus" from a database of illegal cell phone transcripts and returns a fake nude pic of a high schooler

So now FAA, FDA, SEC, CDC under federal judges, but when OSHA challenge comes up, days later, 7-2, the S Court gives OSHA a pass!

The idea that anyone can be an 'expert' and also have a full life as a politician is silly. 'Experts' spend their lives in research and dissemination of results, constantly adding information, and recontextualizing, rethinking. Politicians... often do the opposite.

You know that people are starting to get how dangerous Project 2025 is when Donald Trump had to pretend to disavow it.

It was an honor to talk to the Sultan of Schedule F @donmoyn.bsky.social about his supporting role in the Last Night Tonight explainer that helped this story break through.

Must be the heat. I realized that the Chevron decision last week, which puts the decision in the hands of unelected federal and Supreme Court justices was based on the premise that unelected experts shouldn't have the authority to make regulations.

Done in the same moment OSHA looking at protections for workers in extreme heat - like farm workers, H-vac, roofers, etc. You know, "expendable people". The movie SCOTUS, with casting by the Federalist Society, has become a conspiritorial, criminal enterprise.

US economy added 206,000 new jobs in June! To put that in perspective, average monthly job creation in the supposedly great 2017-2019 economy (during the Trump presidency pre-COVID) was 181,000. The recession many predicted, and some have been hoping for, keeps not happening.

The other day, I realized my husband and I have had 7 dogs in 45 years. Each one if them has a location - feels like a doggie bed - in our hearts. Each with it's own personality and memories. Animals are good for us. Paradoxically, they simplify, strengthen, and clarify a challenging world. πŸ•πŸˆπŸ¦œπŸ΄πŸ’

My brain resists what feels like anti- logic, but done with intentionality to discover the entire topography of logic, i.e. all sides, maybe it works. Asking gamers, do we always end up appeasing motives like religion, profit, power, greed, and lack of appreciation for nature and human rights?

This is in response to an interesting post revealing that AI, so far, has made money only for Nvidia, the AI chipmaker. One response likened it to profit made selling shovels during the gold rush. I immediately thought of Levi's. Track from the post below (for newbies).

Interesting - solving hard problems still requires human imaginations? Imagination is a superpower. Maybe we should think more about what we've done to and how to grow our imaginations in education and our lives. Likewise, imp to identify organizations, etc. that thwart or corrupt imagination.

Remember how the "retail theft crime wave" disappeared as soon as companies had to do their annual reports? That's because it's illegal to lie to shareholders.

Yes, not enough characters to point out the tragedy. My foster brother died from lack of worker protection. Extreme heat kills. That these elite, entitled, snarky MAGA-ites (in SCOTUS) have so abandoned reason, compassion, and balance is disgusting. Let us eat cake! Working on state laws.πŸ’”

A post that Mr. Trump circulated on Sunday called for Liz Cheney to be prosecuted by a military court reserved for enemy combatants and war criminals.

Watch for the American Right to begin to make claims that by overreacting to and mischaracterizing the Trump immunity decision, critics are causing β€œunrest”, and then watch for them to use that to justify the things Trump does.

Mississippi is the poorest state in the US.

Even though the state gets federal welfare funds, it is difficult to get welfare.

The money was all getting stolen, and they got away with it.

Now the journalists who exposed the story are facing a lawsuit and jail.

I'm hearing voices on both blue sides. Whatever happens, we need a campaign that is connected, networked, and working now like the election is tomorrow. Just because you were behind in the polls before the debate isn't good enough. We're ready for some red meat here. Tell us what mountain to climb!
