Bluesky is far from perfect, but I am very glad it exists in this run-up to the election considering what happened to Twitter. I'm following the same reporters and experts and am able to connect with other people without pussy in bio or users posting Nazi memes. So, thanks everyone.

I think the strangulation of physical media is a huge factor in film mattering less to people. You loved some silly-ass movie? There it was on your shelf, begging for a replay. The director sat down to do commentary. Its presence in your home was tangible. Now it’s just a blip on just another app.

My former employer had cops show up with nerf guns to do a mock-shooting. They picked me to be the shooter because I hadn’t shot a gun. The cop who handed me the nerf gun joked “are you ready to kill your coworkers?”. Their lesson after was “run and hide if you weren’t already dead”.

Musicians at any level need to drop Twitter and become full-time skeeters. I want to know where you’re on tour and what fast food place is on their game. I want merch table pics, green room antics, release drops, gear talk, show flyers, rave invites, etc. Any scene would have it so good on here.
