Also - Dear furry tech people: Heritage is run by people who are connected and well-resourced, although not necessarily all that sharp. So please remember that even if nothing else you did or know about is remotely illegal, it's a felony to lie to the feds and every day is STFU Friday, m'kay?

Reps. Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush and AOC have all put out "Biden is the nominee, support him" statements. The left-most part of the Democratic Party fighting to keep him while the right-most part—centrists, swing district Reps, NeverTrumpers, etc.—push for him to drop out was not on many Bingo cards.

Every "the problem with the left" jeremiad, even by ostensible leftists, rarely cite anything but confirmation bias, a non-representative selection of media figure disputes, outrageously dumb takes or phrases, picked to validate bullshit narratives created by the right wing years ago.

The US government made a conscious decision after WW2 that communism was a threat and fascism wasn't. It amazes me the degree to which that gets ignored in order to act like the problem is new.

You may have heard of the bad stuff in the right-wing Project 2025 plan such as banning abortion, ending LGBTQ rights, privatizing Medicare. There's also bad city planning in it, such as defunding mass transit, "oppose any efforts to weaken single-family zoning", and being against bike lanes.

CLASSIFYING ABORTION AS A 14TH AMENDMENT ISSUE IS NOT "TEMPERING" LANGUAGE ON ABORTION, IT IS EXPLICITLY IDENTIFYING FETAL PERSONHOOD AS A PARTY GOAL THAT'S WHY THE GOP AGREED TO IT THEY LIKE IT IT DOES WHAT THEY WANT IT TO DO: ALLOW THE PROSECUTION OF ABORTION AS HOMICIDE

I just don’t understand how or why The NY Times would be so consistently sloppy, and yet always sloppy in a way that favors Trump. I cannot think of any reason why they would do that. I am stumped.

I don't get it when people point out that Project 2025 is "nothing new." Yes, obviously, right-wingers have been fanatics for decades. They were blowing up abortion clinics and shooting doctors when I was a kid. But, as you may have noticed, their political vision has kind of been coming together.

We understand this correct? Project 2025 is not fringe on the right. It's just that everyone in the center and on the left doesn't pay attention to evangelicals cause y'all think they're funny and weird instead of wildly fucking dangerous. Project 2025 is dead serious and extremely popular.

On Tuesday, activists picketed the house of Supreme Court Justice Roberts. Today, they visited Justice Kavanaugh's house.

Picketers played audio recording during the confirmation hearings of Justices saying, "No one is above the law . . . "

An organizer talked about that and how they do what they do.
