I stopped buying from them many years ago, when I had my farm, due to what I perceived as their racist local policies. I'm glad I made that decision and stuck with it.
I went to the Twitter post (workout a Twitter account) and the top two comments are terrible accounts just licking it up. I hate everything about it. And Twitter is even worse now with the spam and blue checkmarks.
The sentence that stood out to me: “we have heard from customers that we have disappointed them.” Well guess what, if your customers are saying this I don’t want to be a customer or even associated with fuckers who don’t give folks a fair shake at anything. Fuck them.
I have generally avoided Tractor Supply since they waged a disgusting campaign to run a long-time local feed store that I frequented out of business, but I’m still going to write to let them know that I’m now going to tell everyone I know to avoid them, too

What prompted this? Were they hit with some sort of report on things they're doing wrong or missing their goals?
It seems out of the blue. My brother recently started working at one of these stores & he loves working (i.e. gabbing) with the customers from out in farm country.
This was so disappointing. 1. I shop there regularly for bird seed and cat food. Plus the occasional yard tool. The way they went about it and burned all bridges and salted the earth as they left took it to a whole new level.
This sucks. The one I go to employs HS aged kids who would be considered marginalized in a county that will probably go 70/30 for trump in Nov. Seemed like a welcoming and inclusive store. Probably headed for the private equity vultures soon enough now.
They were who I turned to if I discovered the chooks were out of kibs on an evening. Or a Sunday.

I like the line about carbon emission goals at the end. They want to empathize that it’s not just about embracing bigotry, it’s also about rejecting science! In case any otherwise rational transphobes were tempted to keep shopping there.

I have a friend that worked there because of their generous policy regarding fertility treatment expense coverage and thought, oh how progressive.. Now I'm thinking WTF.. They just want more pregnant women because it aligns w their f*d up values?
There isn't one close to me, but for the money I was saving buying SAF-T Sorb & Black Diamond blasting sand off the shelf (major components for cheap, generic planted aquarium substrate), I would sometimes make the trip.
I won't be doing that anymore.
Tractor Supply moved in to the next town over and we tried shopping their twice and everything was just so terrible it's never been worth it to go back. They always say they have stuff online that they don't. Terrible company. Any other hardware or feed store is preferable
