The new COVID variant seems to be evading immunity from vaccines and past infections. COVID cases are up 250% in NYC. Remember the more you get covid your risk for long covid increases significantly.

Yes! Even if you are "helping" or actually helping, *always* ask first. People have routines and systems that they use to stand up, sit down, transfer and get past obstacles, so if you interfere with that, it could end up with the person hurt or the device broken.

Friendly reminder not to touch, even jokingly someones mobility aid. For many of us, it's our only source of independence. If it breaks or gets damaged, it can take months/years to replace when you have low income or are on social assistance.

I got a job 🎉 Teaching kids w disabilities to make robots and adapted toys and code their own games 🎊 🎈 For a boss with bipolar ‼️ 🌟 💫 That is all. Just unclenching my stomach from a year of mental health related crisis. Meds are better, I found a great community here… I’m finding some hope.
