Is he trying to retroactively beat a filing deadline or something? Bc I know backdating contracts is a quietly not-weird thing, especially when people started going about the stated business before the paperwork, but for filing deadlines I'd expect a judge to tell him to pound sand.

I think a judge may order something to have nunc pro tunc effect, but I don’t think a litigant just gets to announce that something they’re filing now should be treated as having been filed three months ago.

Seems to me (and I’m not a lawyer) that the judge gets to decide whether the new signature has the same effect as if he had signed it before, not the emergency TX lawyer
