Just going to put this out there: Biden has been the most legislatively effective president since LBJ. The most pro-labor president WW2. He's done more re climate change than any POTUS. He's built an international coalition for Ukraine despite Russia-fueld GOP opposition. And yeah: he's hella old.

The biggest issue with Biden coverage is that he’s now The Story, which means that most of the press is focused on The Story and not any of the context or consequences. If we were having a serious discussion about qualifications for presidency, age, and the two main candidates, I’d be fine with it.

In Virginia, the majority party in the legislature was decided by coin toss. One of our current elections is heading for a run-off. Every vote counts and anyone who does not vote does not deserve the benefits of citizenship.

roberts essentially ignores the purpose of separation of powers, which was not to create entirely separate spheres of action but to prevent the emergence of unchecked authority. instead, he says, separation of powers *demands* unchecked authority.
