there’s a case to be made that the biden freakout is not actually about biden but about the zero-real-job-experience dork pundit class having no real polling to go on for the first time in their lives and reacting by having a big one

There are 2 broad approaches to getting SCOTUS under control: personnel changes & structural reforms. Expansion is the simplest personnel reform; term limits w regularized appt is another. Structural reforms could mean reducing court's agenda control, requiring >5 votes to strike things down, etc.

Who thinks we're having free and fair elections anymore if Trump wins? SCOTUS already re wrote the Constitution for him. He could say 'no more elections, I'm protecting the country from the evil cheating left' and they'll call it an 'official act'

Because, again: Disability is the only minority anyone can join at any time, & which everyone will join, if they're lucky enough to live that long. A disease, a quirk of genetics, a bus, a bad fall from a curb. Anything. And the only thing we have that could consistently make this fact survivable…

I'm not kidding. Chapter 14 of Project 2025 (see: "Agenda 47") is the part of their plan where they'd cut back medical services to the point where every poor sick & disabled person will, quite simply, not be able to afford to stay alive. This could be your grandmother, your uncle, your cousin. You.

Hey! Remember Republicans saying "Obamacare will make death panels to kill your grandma!"? Then you should probably go check out chapter 14 of the Project 2025 manifesto. Because every Conservative/Republican accusation is a confession.

“Trump was convicted of a set of felonies,” Lazer says. “The impact it had on surveys was zero. Biden had a debate where most people said it proved he was too old. Survey respondents said, ‘Yeah, I saw that. He’s too old. I’m still voting for him.’ The numbers just aren’t moving.”

This seems entirely plausible. Nobody is really voting for Biden because they love Joe Biden. People are voting for Biden because they hate Trump. This was also true in 2020.

The strategy is to keep hammering them on Project 2025 and pointing at Trump and going "Hey, this guy's clearly a lunatic". If we're going to use the polling, he seems to have a ceiling and the Dem strategy is to get Biden above that ceiling.

Here's exactly why this matters: the GOP knows that the country is quickly becoming more diverse. Democracy -- allowing more people to vote -- means that they are out of office. Being anti-democracy is a fancy way of saying you would like the return of John C. Calhoun.
