Google’s emissions are up 48% in 5 years. Microsoft’s are up 30% since 2020. Those soaring figures are being driven by mass investments in data centers to power AI tools. Generative AI is a climate disaster and data center expansion must be stopped.

Here’s another study that found that among elderly at-risk people with air conditioning, negative perceptions of air conditioning contributed to these people choosing not to use it, even during extreme heat events (when they really should have).

And we’re in an actual shortage of providers because psych school is almost all self-funded (loans, not grants/scholarships). We’re not getting more clinical psychs (much less more from marginalized populations) until it doesn’t cost $80K to get a degree with starting pay around $50K.
