Kevin Roberts believes he’s a noble defender of “real America” against a totalitarian “woke,” “globalist” assault from without and within.

“Project 2025” is his declaration of war on multiracial pluralism.

I wrote about his extremist worldview here:

What are you talking about? Since the debate, Biden, that same night, had meet-and-greets with supporters that lasted until 2 AM, hosted at least 1 campaign rally in NC, made a major speech about SCOTUS, scheduled another televised interview, and has appeared in front of the press EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Not the most terrifying thing but perhaps the most infuriating: every single thing we said about these fascist Republican fucks has been proved out and all the people who assured us that what is happening would never happen smoothly pivoted to yes it's happening but it will be fine.

It rules that after inventing a completely arbitrary and selective "deeply rooted in our traditions" test, the Court completely abandoned it for the Trump immunity case so they wouldn't have to deal with how a bunch of 18th century dudes who worshipped Cicero would think about literal Caesarism.

The "we voted 4 years why haven't you fixed everything yet?" attitude is EXHAUSTING If Biden wins, democracy isn't saved forever in America, but we don't lose it either, and that seems important. Incremental progress may be slow & boring, but it's ONLY way forward in 50/50 representative government

Putting the president above the law to any degree—and not just while in office, when there a practical argument, but out of office too—is so wrong, so undemocratic, so egregiously un-American. The Supreme Court declared a core American principle going back to George Washington no longer applies.
