I am indeed old enough. I even remember the tipping over media stories on SUVs in the late 90s.

Just in case you cared this was to test that "who can reply" is editable after you post a thread. Which it is.

Crossovers are legally a light truck. But mostly due to the NHTSA being crippled by funding and well itself.

But legally a hatchback is not a light truck, which is why it has been killed basically by all car manufacturers since the light truck category allows them to avoid many regulations and costs.

Elon Musk agreed that Autopilot/FSD would have allowed Justin Timberlake to drive drunk without getting arrested, literally marketing his cars as DUImobiles. Just incredible how little the law, let alone innocent lives, mean to him.

Some of the modern hatchbacks are like that, basically crossovers. But I grew up in the 80s and my first car was a mazda hatchback. It was in no way a truck.
Plus the ford focus is so nice (now discontinued like all ford sedans). I even had a Ford Focus Electric in 2015

Place a lot of the blame for these obviously bullshit tech company press releases being breathlessly repeated as fact in major media on this:
journalism has been utterly GUTTED in the last 20 years, and there are *very* few reporters with technical expertise who can fact check these claims left

10 min 0-80% is more attainable. I agree with you on practicality, etc. I miss the Ford Focus which was so good, 4 doors, hatchback, basically a small station wagon.

Note that in 2020, Trump also packaged up an attempt to frame Joe Biden as the person who initiated the investigation into Mike Flynn, as opposed to Bob Litt.
Altered documents were used to package up this prepared attack.

einstein sent this to curie in 1911 when she was being harassed by tabloids. it contains everything you’d want in such a letter:
(1) your haters are trash
(2) you’re a baller, a true queen
(3) i have determined the statistical law of motion of the diatomic molecule in planck’s radiation field 🧪⚛️

Donald Trump’s presidency was daily trauma for most of us that survived it — several hundred thousand Americans died because of his incompetence and indifference during the pandemic.

A memory from Marmot Pass, WA. 🌎 Walking through old-growth forests, high meadows and open ridges for stunning views. I hope to go back again, hopefully soon! #PNW

Reminder: Fascism rose partly as a result of the 1918 pandemic. Do not stay silent about the attempts to ban masks and protests.

A subtle thing I appreciate about the 'Star Trek' universe is the frequency with which its futuristic cities feature … walkable or even pedestrianized streets, plentiful shade, and mid-rise neighborhoods of gentle density.
Actual cities, in other words.
